This is our 2nd newsletter of 2018 where we share with you ACDM updates this month.

Here are some key updates on the 2018 ACDM Annual Conference:

The next training course on the calendar is the Level One Accredited Training Programme in Clinical Data Management – Fundamental Skills. It is a Face-to-Face course taking place on 21st & 22nd March (new dates) (see details)

The Level One Accredited Training Program in Clinical Data Management is relevant to new colleagues or individuals involved in other areas of clinical research seeking a comprehensive overview of the management of clinical data.

The training course aims to develop core skills in clinical data management. They courses are highly interactive and supported by comprehensive materials and evaluated course work.

Data Management Masterclass in a Healthcare Setting

This course is suitable for all staff involved in the operational conduct or oversight of clinical research across NHS, academic and commercial research units including Data Managers, Study Monitors, Research Managers, Study Coordinators, Sponsor representatives and other site staff.

The NHS R&D Forum has partnered with the Association of Clinical Data Management to deliver this master class for research management, support and leadership teams working in and for a health and care setting.

Ensuring high quality research data is a key role for those working for NHS R&D sponsor and host organisations but they may not be data management experts themselves.

The Hot Topic Discussion this month was on GDPR. An open discussion was held and members and facilitators shared their views and opinions, concerns and implications for GDPR being implemented in May this year. 

Hot Topic events are free to members and these are held online. Members can keep up to date and to hear the viewpoints of different members regarding the topic being discussed.
